Making Day Sat 10th May 11am-4pm

Join current Lookout21 resident artists Dizzy O’Dare on board LV21 for a day of making bizarre and wonderful treasures found at the bottom of the sea…or in the muddy waters of River Medway. This is a making day for all, anyone who wants to try their hand at creating something unique is welcome, as well as those more experienced makers.

Inspired by the amazing collection of artefacts by one of the Lookout21 community residents Robin Neale, all creations will be displayed onboard LV21 alongside his treasures at the final Lookout21 Celebration Day.

An array of materials are provided for you to work with but you’re welcome to bring along anything that might have the potential to be transformed into a wonderful creation; broken electrics, drinks cans, mix of materials, broken bits of metal, jars, broken toys, wooden boxes, belts, keys, found objects – anything that sparks your imagination.

Complimentary refreshments and nibbles are provided but feel free to bring a packed lunch along.

Please note: The renovation of the historic lightship is an ongoing process and as such some areas are not accessible. There are steep stairs and narrow passageways throughout the vessel. Please wear flat, non-slip shoes and contact LV21 if you want to discuss any access issues.

Suitable for all ages and abilities. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult at all times aboard the vessel.
